Yakelin joined the Ingleside Animal Hospital team in 2024, bringing with her over a decade of experience in animal welfare. Since 2012, she has gained valuable experience through her work at a spay & neuter clinic and her volunteer efforts in Maricopa County, where her passion for helping animals began. Yakelin’s deep love for animals and her commitment to improving their lives motivates her every day. She finds immense fulfillment in making a positive impact on both pets and pet owners.
Born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, Yakelin has lived in various parts of Arizona and Nevada. Bilingual and fluent in Spanish, she enjoys connecting with diverse communities. Yakelin’s dedication to animals, combined with her unique skill set and love for helping others, makes her an invaluable member of the Ingleside Animal Hospital team.
Outside of work, Yakelin is the proud owner of three Pitbulls: Leia, Venus, and Slick. She is also an avid dog sitter and regularly volunteers at local animal shelters. In her free time, Yakelin enjoys pursuing her passion for SDM cars and culture. Alongside her boyfriend, she hopes to build her own shop and is dedicated to raising funds to help rescue bully breeds from kill shelters.
